After a very long time with nothing happened on these web pages, I testet the all
the links.
The dance school Stoelting in Bremen was unfortunately closed.
The link to the article of Dr. Ralf Stoelting does not work any longer. But there is an other link to a Dr. Ralf Stoelting: New editor-in-chief of Der Kassenarzt. Wether both links mentions the same person, I dont know.
Rolf Stoelting leads still the orchestra of the Niklas Luhmann High School, however the link on the web page of the music association Oerlinghausen was removed.
The thesis of Hartmut Stoelting on the web page DO Clausthal were unfortunately removed. I did not find another source unfortunately.
The web page of Gunter Stoelting was added. He is a electronic bassit and guitarist.
Also new is the link to Bianca Marx-Stoelting.
The Stoelting-Dienstleistungsgruppe became an internet appearance.
My commercial web pages can be found under www.stefanie-stoelting.de. I published my experiences about creating web pages at http://css.stefanie-stoelting.de.

The Stoelting coat of arms
|
|
Some days ago I got post of André Stoelting with the confirmation of the coat of
arms, of which I had reported on 2004/06/08. The coat of arms adorns the
German
and the
English
start page. The coat of arms was lent 1861, the picture and the excerpt from the
coat of arms role
comes from André Stoelting.
On the starting page is also now the explanation of all ways of writing our
name.

On my search for web pages of and over Stoeltings, books were listed also again
and again. Because these links went to
Amazon Germany
or
Amazon USA,
I have not linked them. Now there is for it new page in Stoeltings in the WWW:
Books of Stoeltings
A picture of the envelope and a summary are not available for the older books. If
someone from you should own one of these books, it would be great, if you can send
me a picture of the envelope, a short review would be still better. That applies
also to books, which are not listed here.

A new way of writing of our name
|
|
On my search I also found the web page of
Gerth Stølting Brodal.
Because I did not know wether the letter ø correspondents to the german ö, I asked Gerth by mail and
I got a very detailed answer of him.
He wrote to me, that his grandmother used still the German way of writing our name. Her father came from
Germany, somewhere around Hamburg, but eventually Detmold. Gerth believes, that all Danish Støltings
descends from this branch of the family.
Many thanks to Gerth for his fast and detailed answer. I added the Danish way of writing our name to the links
and inserted the link to web page of
Gerth
under that.

An old way of writing of our name and some new links
|
|
At least I've found someone with a name in origin writing of our name:
Robert Stoltink
is the singer of the band Copy Cat from Vlissingen, the Netherlands, the web page
is in Dutch.
My inquiries for the several streets, which are named after someone with our name
had so far still no successm but I've found a lake: The
Stoelting Lake
in Missouri. After whom it was designated and why I cannot say yet. On the web
page he is not to be seen, they are selling maps there, but the position is
correct, I've found the lake on a map. You will find it near Boonville, Cooper
County.
In the Nordkurier, a german newspaper, is an article about
Martin Stölting,
who is offering rafting tours in Neustrelitz. If you want to see a very unusual
landscpape, visit Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and the see-plate, it is absolutly
beautifull there. A raft tour is already somewhat very unusual.
Don't miss the story of
Janina Stölting.
Her class wrote lie stories and published them in the web. All stories ars also
illustrated with pictures. Janinas story is called: Die gespaltene Erde (The split
earth).
There is also a new company,
Dr. Stölting Engineering
in Dortmund, Germany, is owned by Dr. Hartmut Stölting.
I found a new HTML editor, that can almost everthing what I need, this web pages
are made with a simple text editor. The tool is
Weaverslave,
it is available in several languages and it is freeware.

I removed the link
Stölting & Klein Medien, Wuppertal, Germany
becouse it is currently linked to the address
www.teneicken.com.
The address of Laurie W. Stoelting from California
(Laurie W. Stoelting)
changed. I thought we've lost her.
But there is also positive to report. Thomas and Sabine Stölting redesigned their web page
(Unsere Welt der Fotografie).
If someone likes to make a vacation to Mexico, perhaps here is an address:
La Casa Mariposa.
The house belongs to Arlene and Tom Stoelting from Wasilla, Alaska.
In Wilster, Germany is the
PCM shop of Bernd Stölting.
You can find there some information about anti-viruses Tools, of course in german.
On a
british page
I've found a story of Derek A. Stoelting.
In the Netherlands there is a
Stolting.nl
page. The page has just a logo, that's all, not even an e-mail address.
Armina Sutherland Stolting published several columns in the
Daily Californian
again. The last one is from 2004/05/03.
In Niles, Illinois, exists a W. Stolting Road. I've found the road with this
page.
In Lemgo there is the William Stoelting way, the address stood on this
page.
I've also found a Stolting coats of arms, but I don't know if it is authentic.
The pages of
Randy & Linda Staldings
are giving some extensions on the search in the Web to our name. The American immigration authority changed
the name Stoelting to Stalting. Later some family members changed that the way of writing of the name on
Stalding. However there are neither on stalting nor on stalding registered domains. In the links of there
is now only the extension on Stalding and among them the side of Randy & Linda Stalding. I have not found any
more interesting web pages of the two ways of writing the name.

Amina Sutherland Stolting published several new articles in the
The Daily Californian Online.
You can find the arcticles in the links.
The page
Glasgalerie Hittfeld, Eliska Stölting, Hittfeld, Germany
is online again. In addition there are still four new websites from Germany:
Stöltings in Dinklage, Germany
Dissertation Hartmut Stölting, TU Clausthal, Germany
Bettenfachgeschäft Hans Stölting, Seevetal-Hittfeld, Germany
Stölting & Olson, Multimedia Internet Lösungen
In the meanwhile there are several domains with special signs, the o with two dots above, assigned. The .de is registered by Ralp Stoelting
from Ottersberg and the .info is owned bei Heiko Stoelting from Berlin. Currently there is nothing online on both addresses.
Becouse these sign is only available on german keyboards, there is a replacment for it. So these Stoelting domains can be found with
XN--STLTING-B1A.

In
The Daily Californian Online
I've found eight articles of Amina Sutherland-Stolting. The oldes is from January 22, 2004. It looks like
Amina is publishing a new article every Thursday.
There are also some bad news. On checking all links, I found out the folling links are lost:
Sebastian Stölting, Bielefeld, Germany
Nina Stölting, Ausstellung in Frankfur/Main
Glasgalerie Hittfeld, Eliska Stölting, Hittfeld, Germany
Andreas Stölting, Mitglied im Stadtrat der Stadt Lage, Germany

What is the origin of our name?
|
|
Owing to the
Duden
I found something out abaut the meaning of our name. My earlier assumption, that Stolting derives
from Stoelting seems to be confirmed, because to Stolting there were no entries in the surname Duden.
But there are the Stoltink isolated in the Netherlands. I did not find an useful link, the entries
originate from lists of names and guest books.
In Turku, Finland, exists it a road with the name Stoltink. Why the road is called in such a way,
I cannot say yet, but I try get it out.
